I was delighted when Wandsworth Council’s business team asked me to collaborate on this year’s #ShopLocal festive campaign. It was great to see my art and design pop up all across the borough!
Working closely with the Wandsworth Enterprise Team shaped the whole campaign. Their insight helped make sure the artwork spoke to local people while promoting the importance of supporting local businesses, and together we fine-tuned it to represent each town centre and shopping district in the borough.
The challenge was to fit every town centre and shopping district into one cohesive, joyful artwork. I used snow globes and baubles to feature each district, and illustrated each hashtag as an ornament.
The design went through many versions to work across railway stations, bus stops, billboards, community posters and social media. It was rewarding to see it all come to life and spread the message of shopping local over the festive season.
